Matthew Rodriguez's Blog Post #9

What I Learned This Year

Mr. McClung had some very good tips in his blog. Each and every one could be very helpful to teachers of all ages, young and old. The first tip is probably the most important to me, How to Read the Crowd. This is important because you can't just get up there and talk and talk and talk, because really what is the point of talking if none of your messages are landing. You have to read the crowd, access how they are reacting to your lecture, explain things in a simpler way if needed, and make sure that they understand the message you are trying to convey.
In closing I love how Mr. McClung said that we as teachers should never stop learning. We work in a learning environment, so why not soak up as much as you can? We owe it to our students. Powerful words from a powerful man
